Show News

2007

Premier Rintinaby Red Herring gained another Premier Certificate at our trip down to Rugby for the Abyssinian Cat Association show (April 2007).

Premier Rintinaby Red Herring was out again on the show bench, this time to Dundee for the Nor' East of Scotland Cat Club show (May 2007). She gained another Premier Certificate and Best of Breed, but not the Grand Premier Certificate that we were hoping for. Red had another good day playing to the crowd.

At last Premier Rintinaby Red Herring did it! Red gained her third Grand Premier Certificate at the Abyssinian Cat Club show in Stratford Upon Avon (June 2007). After what can only be described as a horrendous long drive in atrocious weather the day before, it was all the sweeter. As usual Red had a ball in the hotel, keeping me awake purring. She was obviously on good form as we had a "red card day" a clean sweep of Firsts and a Best of Breed too. So Red is now my first Grand Premier. Spookily Glendavan Azamour (Simon), also gained his 3rd Grand Premier Certificate, making him up to Grand Premier too. Red & Simon were made up to Premier at the same time in Aug 2006.

Grand Premier Rintinaby Red Herring - Red was out again on the show bench, we made the journey down to Eston for the Teeside Cat Club Show (August 2007). Red won her first Imperial Grand Premier Certificate. To gain the title Imperial Grand Premier, she has to collect 5 of these.

Grand Premier Rintinaby Red Herring - Another hotel room and an excited Red. The Supreme Show (November 2007, Birmingham) was back to it's usual halls this year, much better. Red & I had an enjoyable if tiring day.Red received her first UK Grand Premier Certificate. The Supreme Show is the only show you can win these, so it is very special. Red also won Best of Breed and went through to the next round of judging for Best of Variety Foreign. Our judging for the day stopped there, but nonetheless it was great to get that far.

Red is getting quite used to the trips in the car, doesn't stop her asking if we are there yet for a while though. this time our journey was to Bangor in Northern Ireland for the Ulster Siamese & All breeds Show (December 2007). We were there competing for another Imperial Certificate, but it wasn't our day. Red still managed to come away with another Grand Premier Certificate and Best of Breed so the long journey was not all lost. Congratulations to Louise & David of Glendavan Abyssinians on Simon's Imperial Certificate. Simon was looking lovely as always.
